As the severity of the outbreak became more evident in Turkey in early March, several actions were taken which included increased hygiene measures, frequent disinfection of premises, minimised travel and remote meetings. Our Izmir Headquarters was closed down on March 16th and all employees were asked to adopt telecommuting. Equipped with necessary infrastructure and software, no losses or setbacks were experienced during this period.
Meanwhile, we reduced daily shifts from 3 to 2 in order to maintain personnel backup and minimise contact at our facilities. We periodically disinfected facilities, stopped visitor entries and changed servicing systems. Precautions were stepped up this week by dividing shift teams into two and introducing a two-shift system of 14 days. In terms of crisis planning, we have been working on models and shift rotations that will allow the transfer of personnel between facilities should staff shortage arise.
